bus STOP
old people think they rule the world, and 99.9% of the time, i have no problem letting them think they do.
they're old. they've lived long lives. they move slower, take longer, often suffer from aches and pains.
i get that. i respect that. i respect them.
except.
when i am standing on line waiting for the bus, first on line (might i add), i expect to be the first person to get on the damn bus when it shows up 7-10 minutes later.
thus, you can imagine my surprise when the bus comes to a stop, and suddenly, an elderly couple, their aura angry and wrinkled, appear out of no where and are practically clawing at the door to get on first. and, of course, we let them. that's what you do. only to have to wait longer while they climb the steep stairs and shuffle slowly to the first seats on the bus...as if they weren't already reserved for them.
why can't they wait? get on last? and then shuffle to the first seats.
i just don't get it. expect respect? respect the rules of social decency.
