say cheese
have you ever stopped to wonder how many complete strangers have your mug (or foot, or hand) immortalized within the pages of their photo albums, scrap books, snapfish galleries, myspace pages, and digital memory cards? i'm referring, of course, to those random cameos we make when we cross the path of another at just that right moment and never really think twice about.
yesterday, on the short walk from my office to the subway across the apex of times square, i inadvertently crossed the path of at least four touristy shutterbugs snapping away their group photos. sure, i do my best at the duck and weave, but one can only tolerate so many inconveniences in a two block radius.
let's see, an average of 2 photos a day, 260 business days a year--that's an estimated 500 photos a year, and well over 1000 since i've worked in times square...and that doesn't include the rest of my cameos on any given trip to soho, central park, etc.
neat, or a little unnerving?

not only that, but how many pictures are you in because random people decide to take your picture without you knowing?
